3 Days Illegal Imprisonment Nets $5,500
Thompson failed to read the court file to determine that a jail sentence of 20 days had been converted to 30 days of home detention, which Urie had served prior to reporting to the probation office. The Court agreed a mistake was made, ordering her release. On September 28, 2004, Urie, through her attorney, Anthony Urie, settled the matter for $5,500.
