Habeas Corpus Granted to California Prisoner Denied Parole by Governor

In a decision filed December 12, 2008, a California Court of Appeal granted habeas corpus relief to state prisoner Clarence Burdan. The petition challenged the governor’s denial of a recommendation that Burdan be paroled.
