$250,000 Settlement in Florida Auto Accident Claim Against Geo
The Geo Group paid $250,000 to settle an auto accident claim. The settlement came in a lawsuit filed by Elsworth Noel Seals.
In her complaint, Seals alleged that on March 1, 2006. While approaching an intersection in her vehicle in the city of South Bay, Florida, Eades, a Geo Group employee operating one of their vehicles, failed to obey a traffic signal and carelessly made a left turn across the intersection through oncoming traffic. Eades’ reckless actions result in a collision with Seals’ vehicle, causing her severe bodily injury and property damage.
On October 22, 2007, Seals accepted a settlement for $250,000. Seals was represented by Miami, Florida attorney Darren J. Rousso. See: Seals v. the Geo Group, Inc., Florida Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court, Case No. 005213.
