by David M. Reutter
Corrections Corporation of America paid $1,500 to settle a lawsuit involving a slip and fall at the Silverdale Workhouse. While walking down a hallway on the way to church on May 8, 2005, prisoner Shirley Hambrick “unexpectedly slipped and fell on water on the floor.”
Hambrick agreed to the settlement on October 5, 2007. She was represented by attorney Charles G. Wright, Jr. See: Hambrick v. Corrections Corporation of America, Circuit Court of Hamilton County (Tenn.), Case No. 06C105.
