Here's what came into today for example Kettering police use taser to subdue suspect Dayton Daily News 08.21.2001 KETTERING | Police used a taser to subdue a man, wanted for assault, who attacked a police cruiser early Sunday. John Melke-Allen was charged with domestic violence, felony vandalism and assault after police said he attacked two women and an 11-year-old girl. Kettering police said they responded to the 3000 block of East Stroop Road where a caller to 911 said a man was assaulting someone. Police said they arrived to find a man in the parking lot armed with a 10-inch butcher knife, who jumped onto the hood of a cruiser and hit the windshield with his fists and the knife. Several officers used their cruisers to surround the suspect, who continued to slash at officers and damage the cars, police said.
